How We Use Your Data

Account basics — your name and email from your sign-in provider (e.g. Google), plus the profile details you choose to add (home city and state, music preferences, photos).

Location— only what you give us: a city, a zip code, or a one-time GPS position if you tap “use my location.” We use it to sort shows by distance. We do not track you in the background.

Activity — favorites, saves, RSVPs, claps, and messages you send through the platform.

Your phone number and personal email are never shown publicly. Performers can optionally let venues they work with see their phone number — off by default, and fans never see it. Zip codes are used only for distance math and are never displayed.

Venues and acts never see individual fan data — no names, no contact info, no precise locations. They only see aggregate numbers (how many people saved a show, clicked a push, and so on).

Direct messages are screened automatically for safety before delivery. Messages are retained for a limited window (currently 90 days; messages flagged for review are kept up to 2 years as an audit record) and then deleted.

We don't sell your personal data. We don't show display ads based on your personal profile. We don't message you without your consent — notification preferences are opt-in and yours to control.

Payments (when live) are processed by a payment provider such as Stripe — we never store your full card number.

You can edit or remove your profile details from your dashboard at any time, unsend claps, and control every notification preference. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email support@gignut.net.
